FOSTERING

Thank you for your interest in fostering with Buffalo Underdogs Rescue! BUR is an all foster-based rescue. This means that in order to help more deserving underdogs, we need a place for them to rest their heads while they decompress, heal, and learn to trust again.
 

Once your application is submitted, and you are approved to foster, BUR will provide you with everything you need to begin your furry foster’s journey to their forever home. In addition to providing all of the supplies you will need, you will also be linked to one of our fantastic foster mentors. The experienced mentors are here to help answer any questions you may have and provide all the support that you need. Your mentor will help guide you through the adoption process of your foster into their perfect forever home.  
 

Fostering an underdog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home, you’re freeing up a spot so the shelter can take in another dog. For every dog you foster, you save two lives. Please consider opening your heart, and your home, to fostering. It truly is key for us to be able to save more underdogs.
